The goal of this getaway is to have enjoyable days of personal consultation with Louise Cutting and Sandy Miller from the Cutting Line Designs Pattern Collection. You’ll also experience the fashion and wardrobe-building trunk show. Each pattern in the CLD collection has its own unique features, and we'll talk about how to mix and match the patterns as well. That can lead to a coordinated, flattering, versatile wardrobe that makes the most of your time and budget. We only work with Cutting Line Designs patterns because we know them so well.

Receive the help you need to make the right pattern adjustments for good fit, along with the best sewing techniques. Use your “appointments” with Louise and Sandy to ask questions that reflect your own concerns with styling, matching fabric to pattern, fit, wardrobe building, sewing issues, and more. Everyone will be called forward to share in answers of interest to all, and Louise and Sandy will also give short presentations that everyone will benefit from.

Every woman needs pants in her wardrobe. She especially wants pants that are really comfortable! And she wants them in a fabric that suits her lifestyle and her climate.

So, what if pants like that were easy to fit and sew? That’s what you’ll find at this Pant-Fitting Retreat with Louise and Sandy. You’ll learn how to measure yourself properly, how to select the proper size, and how to make any alterations you need. You’ll be guided step-by-step in sewing your pants for the most polished result, and you’ll see all the design details that can be added once you’ve mastered the basics of your own fit and style.

All our pant styles have an “industry standard” elastic waistband, cut in one with the pant itself. The draft of the patterns is unique, making them fit without troublesome multiple adjustments. What’s more, these pants can be appropriate for just about any occasion when you want to wear them, depending on the fabric you’ve chosen and what you pair them with. You’ll have an opportunity to shop in the Cutting Line Designs “warehouse”, where you’ll see a wide variety of fabrics that can make your pants especially right for you.

This or That pattern

View B of This or That is the simple Boxtop. But don't let that limit your imagination.  The pattern is just a starting point for the many variations you can make in this retreat.

Think of cozy winter ponchos, floaty georgette coverups for evening, summer tops, added sleeves, your choice of edge finishes, different lengths, different widths.

How many do you want to make?  You'll get endless ideas while you're here.  Sandy will provide many, and your fellow sewers will multiply them.

Join us for the fun and creativity.
