It's an Interesting Angle at Cutting Line Designs

THAT'S AN INTERESTING ANGLE
I wanted to give you more views of the At Every Angle jacket and shirt this time.  (The pattern remains at a special price this week.)

Both garments are distinctive, with imaginative details.  Let's see how they look in action.  Check the model's right side to see Louise's carefully matched pocket.

Make your own shirt with one of these fabrics:

         shirtweight cotton from Japan       linen

I wanted to show you the details of this jacket.  First, a view of it being worn.  Then a photo with scissors in the pocket, which is in the side seam.

You'll also see a pen pointing out the corner of the overlays.  We'll take a closer look in a second.

In the first photo below, the top overlay is unbuttoned and opened.  Note that it shows the back side of the fabric, with the fabric right side turned to form the hem.  The second overlay is still buttoned in place.  It shows the right side of the fabric, with the wrong side turned to form the hem.

The second photo shows both overlays unbuttoned at the neck.  You can see that the second overlay is still buttoned about 3/4 of the way down toward the hem.  You can see why double-sided fabrics are nice for this jacket, but I think solid fabrics would also be effective with prominent topstitching.

Try one of these for your own fabulous jacket.  The first 2 are double-sided.  The gold fabric reverses to a heather finish, and the dark one reverses to solid black.

The first one below has silver printed on the face, and it reverses to plain beige.  The second one is double-sided.

Here's a solid in a vibrant color, and a cotton dobby from Japan that reverses to solid black.
