|SEW FOR SERENITY
| I was delighted to learn that Grace Coolidge, once our first lady in the early 1900's, loved to sew, knit, and crochet. In fact, I discovered some words of wisdom from her:
I discovered her lovely and hopeful sentiment on another blog, Diary of a Quilter. It seems to be something that all of us can keep in mind during these days of uncertainty.
Another blog called Sewing is Cool posted 23 ways that sewing can benefit us! Wow!
Kat at KatFit Stitch wrote a lovely essay about how sewing helps steady her, allows creativity, lets her bring happiness to others, and helps her relax.
When you have some spare moments, find a recipe for something special from our Cool Stuff at CLD section on the website. There are some fabulous desserts there, and don't we all need a treat from time to time?
If you have a few spare minutes, browse through all the fascinating websites we have listed on Cool Stuff at CLD. They're a great source of inspiration. They'll help "keep us to the course", as Mrs. Coolidge said, and let us plan for better days.
For those of you who have decided to make a shirt from Timeless and Modern, this week's featured pattern, I've posted a new blog showing you step by step how to achieve perfect sleeve plackets. So come on over to Stitch to Style and peek at the photos.
By the way, we've heard that a few of you have thought that you had to have a PayPal account to order from us online. That's not the case. Even though you'll see "Proceed to PayPal" on one of the order pages, just click on it to go to the next page. You'll see that you can choose whatever credit card you would like to use.
