A Pinch of Summer Spice with Cutting Line Designs

ADD A PINCH TO YOUR SUMMER
 spices on spoon

I was delighted to learn that Grace Coolidge, once our first lady in the early 1900's, loved to sew, knit, and crochet.  In fact, I discovered some words of wisdom from her:

I discovered her lovely and hopeful sentiment on another blog, Diary of a Quilter.  It seems to be something that all of us can keep in mind during these days of uncertainty.

Another blog called Sewing is Cool posted 23 ways that sewing can benefit us!  Wow!

Kat at KatFit Stitch wrote a lovely essay about how sewing helps steady her, allows creativity, lets her bring happiness to others, and helps her relax.

FEATURED SEWING PATTERN

Add Just A Pinch of sewing happiness to your summer by making yourself a new shirt and vest.  Like Grace Coolidge, we can keep ourselves on course by having a quiet but satisfying activity to occupy ourselves.  And what a pretty result we can achieve.

Just a Pinch will be specially priced until 8 p.m. Eastern on Monday, July 20.

Note that the shirt above, in lightweight linen, is "pinched" on the right front.  It's a great detail, and you can elect to "pinch" the shirt or not.  Below are 2 of my Pinch shirts.  The first one is made of tropical weight wool, and I wear it as a jacket.  The second is a fabric with a lot of surface texture, and I wear it as a shirt.

ISN'T IT FITTING PDF AND FLASH DRIVE

So many of you are actively sewing while you are sheltering at home.  You might want to have a copy of our book about fitting.  It's called "Isn't It Fitting".  You can purchase either the download PDF or the Flash Drive.  The content is exactly the same.

Here's the cover and a sample of a page so you can see that we not only explain each pattern alteration, we show you what each alteration looks like.

FACEBOOK FORUM

So many of you have joined us for fun and learning on the Facebook Forum.  However, many of you who have said you want to join have not answered the 3 sewing-related questions.  We'd love to have each of you be able to get in, but that can't happen if you haven't answered the questions.  Please be sure to answer, because we'd like to know each of you.

SAMPLES

Please confine your sample requests to 3 per order.  That allows us to give you the same prompt service you are used to.  Also, remember that if you ask for a sample of a fabric that's on sale, the sale may be over before the sample gets to you through the mail.

A REMINDER

If you are searching for a specific fabric on the website and you know the number of it, be sure to put a 5-digit number in the search box.  Examples:  00532 or 01379.  You don't need to include the letters (FF) with the numbers.

Paypal logoBy the way, we've heard that a few of you have thought that you had to have a PayPal account to order from us online. That's not the case. Even though you'll see "Proceed to PayPal" on one of the order pages, just click on it to go to the next page. You'll see that you can choose whatever credit card you would like to use.
