VERSATILE FABRIC AND STYLES FOR FALL |
Cool weather seems far away. We're still sweltering in heat and humidity, but you can foster your dreams of crisp temperatures and brisk, refreshing walks followed by hot tea.
This week, we're showing you linen/cotton blends from Japan that are perfect for the transition from summer swelter to fall invigoration. You can wear tops, shells, and pants made from these fabrics quite soon, then layer vests, tops, and jackets when temps fall just a few degrees more.
These pretty garments made from linen/cotton blends might give you some ideas--
We do have snap tape on the website in black and white.
All these patterns are on sale until 8 p.m. Eastern on Monday, August 17.
Make a pair of One-Seam or My Swing Set pants from the solid beige fabric you'll see in this newsletter. Then make the top from the Anything But Ordinary pattern using the same fabric. Wear this outfit with a scarf or bracelet. Then make the jacket from one of the prints we're showing you. Wear the jacket alone as a top with the pants, or layer it over the top to wear all 3 pieces.
Look at the Home Page for more ideas on multiplying your wardrobe options.
So here are this week's versatile fabrics. First, the solid that will coordinate with everything (we have lots of it!).
Then prints to coordinate--
Some of these would look fresh with white before transitioning to more fall colors. Some of them are at regular price and some are as much as 30% off.
Do you already have black pants or a skirt to work with tops, shells, jackets from these fabrics?
And more color!

https://www.cuttinglinedesigns.com/newsletter-signup.htm FACEBOOK FORUM So many of you have joined us for fun and learning on the Facebook Forum. However, many of you who have said you want to join have not answered the 3 sewing-related questions. We'd love to have each of you be able to get in, but that can't happen if you haven't answered the questions. Please be sure to answer, because we'd like to know each of you. SAMPLES Please confine your sample requests to 3 per order. That allows us to give you the same prompt service you are used to. Also, remember that if you ask for a sample of a fabric that's on sale, the sale may be over before the sample gets to you through the mail. A REMINDER If you are searching for a specific fabric on the website and you know the number of it, be sure to put a 5-digit number in the search box. Examples: 00532 or 01379. You don't need to include the letters (FF) with the numbers. SHIPPING We have received a notice from the United States Postal Service informing us that shipping to some countries may take somewhat longer than previously. We want you to know that we will ship your packages promptly, neverthless.
By the way, we've heard that a few of you have thought that you had to have a PayPal account to order from us online. That's not the case. Even though you'll see "Proceed to PayPal" on one of the order pages, just click on it to go to the next page. You'll see that you can choose whatever credit card you would like to use.
