Some of you have posted on the Facebook Forum that you have already started playing with your Paper Dolls from Cutting Between the Lines.
If you haven't gotten started, you can download Cutting Between the Lines and get going today. Make a chart like the one in the book to evaluate your current wardrobe. Does your closet work for your present life?
You probably have a fabric stash. (Don't we all?) How can it work best for you? Can you get your mind around all the possibilities so you can move forward?
Sort it all out using Cutting Between the Lines. Here's an example:
Scan your fabric and print it out. Locate the "flat" for the garment you want to make.
Here's the "flat" and the "flat" printed on the scanned fabric, as well as the vest Louise made in her chosen fabric.
Once Louise could test her fabric and pattern combination using Paper Dolls, she decided she liked it and went forward with making her vest.
You could test a fabric on several garment "flats" to see which garment is best in that fabric. Or you can test a specific garment "flat" in several different fabrics to see which one you really like.
Create lots of Paper Dolls, including ones to represent clothes you already have, then play around finding the best combinations. This really helps with wardrobe planning, or even just packing for a trip.
You'll find lots of helpful information in Cutting Between the Lines. For more examples, check out the Home Page.
If you're unsure about colors or which garments you ultimately want, experiment with printing the "flats" onto scrapbook or craft paper first. See what appeals to you. Play around with combinations. Have fun!
To help you play Paper Dolls this week, we've put all the patterns on sale until 8 p.m. Eastern on Monday, October 5. We've included The Third Piece flats in this PDF book, because that new pattern will be coming out soon. We are in the final stages of checking and rechecking all the details. Of course, we have more patterns planned. As they come out, we'll provide them as free downloads so you can complete your collection of Paper Dolls.

Please help us stay connected and expand our sewing community by sharing this newsletter with your friends and have them sign up to receive their own newsletter.
https://www.cuttinglinedesigns.com/newsletter-signup.htm FACEBOOK FORUM So many of you have joined us for fun and learning on the Facebook Forum. However, many of you who have said you want to join have not answered the 3 sewing-related questions. We'd love to have each of you be able to get in, but that can't happen if you haven't answered the questions. Please be sure to answer, because we'd like to know each of you. SAMPLES Please confine your sample requests to 3 per order. That allows us to give you the same prompt service you are used to. Also, remember that if you ask for a sample of a fabric that's on sale, the sale may be over before the sample gets to you through the mail. A REMINDER If you are searching for a specific fabric on the website and you know the number of it, be sure to put a 5-digit number in the search box. Examples: 00532 or 01379. You don't need to include the letters (FF) with the numbers. SHIPPING We want to assure you that we fill all your orders and ship them within 24 hours of the time we receive them. It seems that there are some delays with mail service at this time, both within the country and to other countries, so it may take a bit longer than usual for your orders to reach you. However, we are doing our part to send them promptly. By the way, we've heard that a few of you have thought that you had to have a PayPal account to order from us online. That's not the case. Even though you'll see "Proceed to PayPal" on one of the order pages, just click on it to go to the next page. You'll see that you can choose whatever credit card you would like to use.
