Rest and Renew With Cutting Line Designs

TAKE A NAP AND LOOK AHEAD
snowy woods
Once again, Louise and I want to say how grateful we are for your continued presence in our lives and your ongoing support of Cutting Line Designs.  It's wonderful to share our common interests and to foster your creative efforts.  We're eager for what 2021 will bring, to see your ideas, and to exchange inspiration and knowledge.

This week, we're looking at denim and coordinates for today's more casual dressing.  Also, let's not forget to mix in some boiled wool for that extra layer of warmth that feels so good right now.

So we're looking in these directions:

The Blouse Perfected      Color Me Chic

Denim works well for light jackets, shirts that can double as jackets, tops, vests, skirts, and pants.  It's great with prominent topstitching as above, and you can build a whole weekend wardrobe around denim and a couple of coordinates.  Then layer on a jacket of boiled wool to ward off the chill and you're good to go.

Learn the techniques for boiled wool in our "Give a Little, Take a Little" pdf booklet to make a jacket.

Then consider adapting those techniques to denim with frayed edges as trim.  It's a great look, and I've given you a few tips in the latest Stitch to Style blog.

FACEBOOK FORUM

So many of you have joined us for fun and learning on the Facebook ForumHowever, many of you who have said you want to join have not answered the 3 sewing-related questions.  We'd love to have each of you be able to get in, but that can't happen if you haven't answered the questions.  Please be sure to answer, because we'd like to know each of you.

SAMPLES

Please confine your sample requests to 3 per order
.  That allows us to give you the same prompt service you are used to.  Also, remember that if you ask for a sample of a fabric that's on sale, the sale may be over before the sample gets to you through the mail.

A REMINDER

If you are searching for a specific fabric on the website and you know the number of it, be sure to put a 5-digit number in the search box.  Examples:  00532 or 01379.  You don't need to include the letters (FF) with the numbers.

SHIPPING

We want to assure you that we fill all your orders and ship them within 24 hours of the time we receive them.  It seems that there are some delays with mail service at this time, both within the country and to other countries, so it may take a bit longer than usual for your orders to reach you.  However, we are doing our part to send them promptly.

PaypalBy the way, we've heard that a few of you have thought that you had to have a PayPal account to order from us online. That's not the case. Even though you'll see "Proceed to PayPal" on one of the order pages, just click on it to go to the next page. You'll see that you can choose whatever credit card you would like to use.
