Cozy, snuggly, warm--that's boiled wool. Ours is actually a wool/rayon knit, so it drapes beautifully and is easier to work with than true boiled wool. Louise made herself a black jacket, I made a grey one, and our sewing friends have also made them. All provide great inspiration. (By the way, the last jacket below is not boiled wool, but it's in a similar wool, so you can see the silhouette.)
All these patterns are on sale until 8 p.m. Eastern on Sunday, January 23.
Also, all our "boiled wool" (the wool/rayon knit) is on sale until 8 p.m. Eastern on Sunday, January 23. This will be our final sale of the year on this fabric, so get yours while we still have some in stock.
You might be thinking, "Oh, no! I love the colors but I don't know how to work with boiled wool." Ta-da!! Cutting Line Designs to the rescue. We have written a book with all the details. We tell you how to trim the appropriate seam allowances, how to attach collars, how to modify seams, how to finish front facing/hem corners. It's all there in "Give a Little, Take a Little", and you can download the book to have all the info at your fingertips.
We also have the proper double-sided sticky tape that will make creating seams so easy. This stuff really works, and we tell you exactly how to use it in the book.
Just a reminder--all the info you used to see at the bottom of each newsletter about the Facebook Forum, samples, payment methods, shipping, and fabric searches, is now at the bottom of the Home Page.
