Are we all ready for Spring at Cutting Line Designs

Enough Snow and Cold Already

Bring on the warmer weather!  Hopefully some of you sewers were able to make something fabulous for the next season in the last few weeks.

Puxatanny Phil saw his shadow and there's supposed to be six more weeks of winter but experts say he is only correct 38% of the time.  Here's hoping they are correct.

Since we featured pants in the last sale and newsletter, we are going to focus on tops/blouses and maybe a jacket.  We are keeping the sale on all the pdf books for a few more weeks to help you with those fitting and sewing issues.

Louise has the honor of being featured in the fall issue of Threads magazine.  Here is a link to the recent article.

In the next few weeks we will have a special during the Puyallup Sewing Expo days taking place this month since we will not be able to attend again this year.  Details to follow.

Here is a little taste of the Tropics.  We may have featured this recipe in a previous newsletter but it is worth repeating.

NELLIE & JOE'S KEY WEST LIME PIE

Just too good not to share...it’s from the back of the bottle of Key West Lime Juice...can be found at grocery stores or Amazon. When the pie is done it is not green in color but a pale yellow.

9" graham cracker pie crust
14 oz. Can of sweetened condensed milk
3 egg yolks (whites not used)
½ cup Nellie & Joe's Key West Lime Juice (in the grocery store usually near the lemon juice)

Combine milk, egg yolks and lime juice. Blend until smooth. Pour filling into pie crust and bake at 350º for 15 minutes. Allow to stand 10 minutes before refrigerating. Just before serving, top with freshly whipped cream, or meringue, and garnish with lime slices.
