Gucci has designed a beautiful wool in midnight navy, so it's really versatile.  But the design work goes even further.  On one side pinstripes run on the lengthwise grain, about 1/8" apart.  Each pinstripe consists of a white thread and a red thread.  On the other side (probably the right side, although both sides could be used) there are tiny white dots accented by a red thread, about 1/8" apart.  The fabric is lightweight, has a lovely drape, and features a "hard" finish, which means it is completely smooth--not fuzzy or "itchy".  It's a great fabric for pants, jackets, vests, skirts, or dresses.
