I've written before about how much Louise and I like these cotton dobby fabrics from Japan.  They are light/midweight, crisp (typical of cottons), and easy to care for.  The weave, with its thicker theads here and there, means that these fabrics need little ironing, even after washing.  Air-drying dark colors would be a good idea.  This particular dobby has a dark navy background with little faux shibori circles in grey and blue that's slightly lighter than the background.  Large flowers in taupe and tan are scattered on the surface, with gold centers, and are surrounded by olive and dark blue/green leaves.  I like dobby cottons for shirts that can double as light jackets in summer, as well as for tops, vests, shells, tunics, and dresses.
