Cotton sateen uses a satin weave, but it is obviously made of cotton fibers.  It shares a smooth, slightly shiny surface with satin, while the "wrong" side has a dull finish.  This one is almost as light as a shirtweight, but it has 3% lycra in it, so it has just a bit more beefiness than shirting and a bit of stretch on the crossgrain.  Large (2-2-1/2"), vaguely tulip-shaped flowers in shades of purple and blue bloom in both directions along the lengthwise grain.  They're accessorized with short stems and small leaves in various shades of green.  Make tops, shirts, shells, vests, tunics, dresses, pants, and pencil skirts.
