Red-violet cotton canvas from Japan has an intriguing design.  Circles and half-circles in light and dark greens look as they have been stamped on the fabric with hand-carved blocks.  There are also 2 lengthwise "stripes", one in small rectangles and one in a wide band with one straight and one uneven border.  The challenge--and the reward--will be deciding how to place the various stripes and motifs on your garment.  This is a plain weave, smooth and even, and it's a lightweight cotton canvas.  You could make a vest, a top, a shirt that could double as a jacket, or a lightweight jacket, pants, or a skirt.
