Cotton dobby fabrics are woven on a loom with a special accessory allowing threads to be grouped here and there on the crosswise grain. Typically, they wrinkle much less than typical cottons, perhaps because of this special weave. This one is just a slight bit heavier than shirtweight. Stylized flowers in light red, beige, tan, very creamy off-white, and pale purple with green leaves are scattered on a charcoal background. Here and there, black shapes appear on the black ground; they are the arrow pattern in traditional Japanese fabrics. Make a shirt, light jacket, shell, top, vest, tunic, or dress.
