Light/midweight cotton from Japan has a distinctive design by a favorite designer, quilter, and artist. It's a rich beige fabric whose motifs are based on one of her quilt designs. She creates many quilts that are largely one color (beige in this case) which is pieces, even though alll the pieces are the same color, because it allows her to piece in other colors here and there. In this case, she has pieced in black, red, orange, green, and yellow pieces, and on those pieces you can see tiny white lines, which emulate the stitches on the original quilt. Make a shirt that can double as a jacket, a vest, a top, a dress, or a light jacket.
