Wavy stripes of taupe run lengthwise on this cream cotton dobby from Japan. It's a unique cotton fabric because the weave keeps it from wrinkling quite as much as cottons typically do. In fact, my garments made from dobby weaves need only a bit of touch-up after washing. Of course, this is a lightweight fabric, a bit more substantial than a shirting, and with a bit more surface texture from the dobby weave, and it has the crisp hand of a cotton. It will take stitched details well. Make shirts, dresses, tunics, tops, shells, and easy-fitting pants.
