Wide bands of soft grey and charcoal run lengthwise on this light/midweight cotton dobby from Japan.  On the dark grey bands, flowers are yellow or light grey, outlined in yellow. Their leaves have black outlines.  On the light grey bands, flowers are outlined in blush or purple, while others are yellow or dark grey with red centers.  Leaves are outlined in medium grey or are solid green.  A favorite or ours, the dobby weaves require little ironing, even after washing (gently and air drying if a dark color).  They are a light/midweight that works well for shirts that can double as summer jackets, shells, tops, structured vests, dresses, tunics, pencil skirts, or even light pants.
