Here's a special weave in off-white linen.  Lengthwise stripes alternate: some stripes are in a plain weave, so they are opaque.  The other stripes are in a leno weave in which 2 crosswise threads and 2 lengthwise threads are woven together, leaving a bit of open space in between.  There's so much surface texture and interest in this lovely fabric.  Make a shell, shirt, top, unstructured vest, tunic, or dress.
