Here's an intriguing linen/cotton blend from Japan.  From the middle fold to one selvedge, the fabric is a deep tan with black letters using a variety of fonts.  The letters can be read by looking at the crossgrain.  From the middle fold to the other selvedge, the fabric exhibits alternating black and beige diagonal stripes.  This one should be fun to play with while creating a really distinctive garment.  The light/midweight is right for light jackets, tunics, shells, vests, shirts, and tops.
