I made a fire, a fire to live better . . . These words are printed in French on a portion of this interesting and beautiful silk jacquard. The weave incorporates the shapes of leaves that are satin-faced where they swirl on the surface of the fabric, while the surrounding surface is matte. The leaves are only visible as a change in the surface texture of the fabric. The printed design has an Art Deco flavor and consist of stripes, blocks of peach color with text, a woman's profile, and large yellow blooms. The remaining portions of the design are irregular blocks of white, black, light taupe, orange, and olive. The selvedge reads " Tissus de Leonard Paris". Make a blouse, dress, shirt, shell, top.
