The base fabric of this fabulous textile is black wool.  Then a pattern of rectangles, about 1" x 3/4", have been woven in.  They add a bright contrast with the black, matte background in vivid colors:  yellow, pink, blue, green, orange.  Make a jacket, dress, kimono.

Wool---Only use sew-in interfacing with this fabric because of the 2 different threads that make up the base fabric and the decorative squares.  Pressing with lots of steam to adhere a fusible is not advisable.
