Often referred to as boiled wool, this is actually a knitted fabric made of wool and rayon fibers.  It is warm and cozy, comes in lovely colors, doesn't fray or curl at the edges, and is easy to work with.  It requires minimal steam from your iron during construction, and stitches nicely with a stitch length of 3.0.  The safest method of care is to dry clean a finished garment to avoid shrinkage.  This particular boiled wool is a lovely teal that will be really pretty on a chilly day.  It will make wonderful jackets.
