Here's a rainbow, painted on cotton shirtweight.  The colorful stripes meld into one another and run from one selvedge edge almost to the other.  At one selvedge, the colors drip down toward the selvedge edge, while they extend all the way to the other selvedge.  The colors are just what nature paints;  violet, purple, almost navy, blue-green, green-blue, yellow, yellow-orange, orange, red-orange, red--and the rainbow begins again.  The weight is just right for shells, shirts, tops, tunics, and dresses.
