This cotton midweight was designed by an artist, dyer, and quilter treasured in Japan.  It's white, with mostly geometric shapes in black, dark and light green, red, aqua, yellow, and gold.  The overall design is based on a quilt by this designer: look closely and you can se the tiny white lines crossing the colored shapes, imitating the stitches in her quilt.  It will be fun to decide on a layout for pattern pieces, deciding where the various motifs should be placed on a garment.  Make a light jacket, a shirt that can double as a jacket, a vest, a tunic, or a dress.
