Cotton dobby weaves have a lot going for them: they have great surface texture, they're 100% cotton, and they wrinkle very little despite being cotton. This one is lively. The background is dark navy, while olive green stems run the length of the fabric. Occasional rounded shapes on those stems look like buds. Then 1-1/2" to 2-1/2" flowers in bright red with pale blush centers and white stamens brighten the color scheme. A dobby weave has a bit more body than a shirtweight fabric because of the threads grouped in the weave, but it is not really any heavier. Make shirts, tunics, tops, shells, vests, light jackets, and dresses.
